Our History & Vision

New Hope Missions enjoyed a strong start because of the contributions of two generations that have gone before. Our founders, Pastor Benny & Hope Ramos pastored Zion Revival Center for 32 years before his passing in October, 2021. The missionary work we enjoy today is the result of his many years of experience, beginning with his service as a translator to Pastor Nelson Clair at Lakeshore Tabernacle in Kenosha, Wisconsin, a church that was built on the strong missions vision of their founding pastor, Dr. Orville Broker, who saw little fires burning in Mexico.

After pastors from Zion and Waukegan traveled to Mexico with Pastor Benny in 2003, Pastor James E. Logan (Christian Faith Fellowship Church, Zion, IL) announced to Pastor Benny that he is a true son of Dr. Broker who will not allow the fires in Mexico to fade. Encouraged to step in to the apostolic ministry by Apostle Leon C. Cosey (Love Temple International Christian Center) and other colleagues in ministry, Pastor Benny began to revitalize the Mexico missions at ZRC, giving birth to New Hope Missions. Since then, other pastors have traveled with Pastor Benny & Hope and caught the vision and offered their support and encouragement.

member of the Missions Board. This allowed him to work with the  missionaries serving Mexico and to forge personal contacts with pastors in Mexico.

As the missionaries supported by Zion Revival Center began to retire or go home to the Lord, it became necessary to reshape the missions vision of ZRC. It was during this time that the voices of Mexican pastors began to cry out for help and Pastor Benny realized that while he was establishing this new missions ministry at ZRC, the passing of one of Lakeshore's missionaries left these people without a covering. After checking with the two organizations that had been working with these pastors, it was confirmed that those organizations had withdrawn and gave their consent for Pastor Benny to pursue a work among them.

As he began to reach out to the pastors of Mexico, he also reached out to the pastors at home, encouraging them to travel with him to see what God was doing among the people in Mexico.

Pastor Benny served at Lakeshore as translator on missions trips for ten years as well as serving as Elder, as a member of the Board of Directors, and as a
